Congratulations to Ceri Wood, the 11th Careers Champion!

With almost 10,000 votes cast, Ceri Wood from Hopwood Hall College became our 11th Careers Champion winner.

Tracey Hill

A careers lead at William Howard School, Tracey has led careers education in North Cumbria for over ten years. She chairs the North Cumbria Careers Network Group, and is Hub Lead for the Local Enterprise Partnership. She goes above and beyond to support students within the school, ensuring they fulfill their potential. Tracey achieved 100% of the Gatsby Benchmarks in her school, and was praised for her work in this year's Ofsted inspection. Nominator Jo Cheal said: “Tracey is a highly respected professional, she has been a speaker at the CDI conference on the importance of well-funded careers education and the impact it can have. We are proud to have her on our team.”

Suzanne Ball

Suzanne has been a careers adviser at the University of Hertfordshire for the last 18 years, and is currently partnered with the Business School and the School of Health and Social Work. An expert in her field, she is always up to date on market knowledge and ensures that she is able to inform, support and encourage those around her. Colleague Helen Mayer said: “I have found Suzanne to be an amazing mentor during my own training to become a careers adviser. She consistently seeks to advance and develop her own practice to provide the best possible service to our student population and I am frequently inspired by her motivation, commitment and passion."

Tarlochan Assi

Tarlochan has been part of Newham College for 14 years, with the last five years spent coordinating work experience opportunities. During that time, he has transformed the quality of the placements offered to students, which have included placements in NHS Barts, and high profile blue-chip employers in Canary Wharf. Partnership links with East London Business Alliance and Canary Wharf employers are strong, enabling learners to gain valuable insights into the world of work. Nominator Michael Burgoyne said: “The College is an AOC shortlisted Beacon college for careers and Toli's work has supported this.”
